BACK WITH MOONROCKS
The Unicorns are a synth pop/punk band from Montreal, Canada. They helped start a huge music scene in Canada, including Arcade Fire and Broken Social Scene.
Their debut (and only) LP, "Who Will Cut Our Hair When We Are Gone?" is absolutely brilliant, I recommend to go and listen right away.
Sadly, things in the band did not work out so well, and they split up later in 2004. The two masterminds of the band, Nick Diamonds and Aldan Penner started up their own projects, which I will eventually post sometime.

STAGE ON FIRE
One of my favorite Jimi Hendrix tunes, his rendition of The Troggs', "Wild Thing."
There hasn't been a guitarist/artist like him since:

HAPPY GO-LUCKY
The Pixies ripping through a cover of the Jesus and Mary Chain song, "Head On".
They just played the Tower Theatre this week, probably was a great show.

BLACK SHEEP
This is a very important post.
As of right now, I would consider this band my favorite current punk band from Philadelphia.
Rasputin's Secret Police are raw as hell, and they went to my grade school.
Here are TWO videos from them, and you should check both.

BABIES IN RENO WITH THE VITAMIN D
Keep on rockin!!!! Black Keys are just starting to get some well deserved attention. Great band to see live, one of the best dirty guitar tones out there now.

RIGHT OUT OF THE BAG
Here's a band I've seen a few times around the circuit: Drink Up Buttercup
It's always cool to see a Philly band get some attention. Their sound is somewhat pop-experimental-rock. Almost like something you'd hear from Elephant 6.
Without further ado:
